Blue text was added by Hannah's mom.
Hannah had a really rough week with homesickness last week. This week she is doing much better.
She only gets fed by ward members about twice a week, so she is starting to cook. If you have ANY quick and nutritious recipes she would love to have them. If you send them to me I will email them all together and print and mail them for her.
She also mentioned that the weather is warming up. She is mostly warm now.
I also attached a picture her Mission President's wife posted on Facebook.
Dear Friends and Family,
This week has definitely been one to remember! I am doing better, for those of you wondering, it is still a uphill battle though. This week has been great. I got to see my mission president and his wife, we have been working with tons of less actives, and we committed 10 PEOPLE to baptism! (Nyweka from last week's letter has "so many kids we lost count". Kendra, a 27 year old investigator has 3 kids) Sister Elkins and I are feeling super blessed that the Lord trusts us this much! I have gotten so close with the ward members, but especially the Young Women. I am truly amazed at these girls and how valiant they are. These girls are so willing to work with our less actives and come to teaching appointments with us.
This week in Church, I gave my first talk on Joshua and Jericho. It was amazing to because Sister Cross, one of the less actives we have been working with, went to Church for the first time in 2 years yesterday! It was such a huge win! We also had a random man walk in and told us he wanted to find out more about the Church. He went to sacrament and to gospel principles (or Sunday school) where Sister Elkins was teaching. By the end of class, he was tearing up and thanked us both so much for the lesson and talk we gave. As far as I know, he is still looking into the Church. We have been so blessed, I can't even express how amazing this feel to serve so many people! Love y'all and miss y'all like nuts!

P.S. Thanks for all the prayers and I know that they are always accepted here :)
P.S.S. I have taken so many pictures but I have no flash drive so NEXT WEEK I SHOULD HAVE PICTURES of me and all my investigators/less actives!
PS Hannah is now using/learning Spanish. They have an investigator that speaks only Spanish! Now she is busting herself to learn Spanish. Good thing she worked at McDonalds! hahaha If you have any tips to learning the language she'd love to hear them.

Dear Family and Friends,
It is now the end of week 2 in Canada. Not only that I have been on my
mission for a MONTH now!! Crazy how time flys!! It feels like I
checked into the MTC last week.
This week had been a challenging week for me. I thank everyone for
their prayers. I have had many miracles shown to me this week.
We had Nyweka, a investigator, who has gone through MANY missionaries
tell us this week that she wants to get baptized. My reaction was
"WHAT!?! THATS GREAT!" Then not only that she said, "I don't want to
get baptized alone. My children need to get baptized with me." Sister
Elkins and I were like "That's fine!! WHAT!!" (we were still in
shock).
We also taught a woman named Michelle. Michelle is a less active who
lives with her mom and her 3 kids. We taught her about prayer and
invited her to pray. She has not prayed in 12 years and never in front
of a crowd. Everyone in the room, including Michelle, was crying
because we felt the spirit so much. I was one of those moments where
you just felt blessed to be a missionary.
Now getting these moments are amazing, but some of the funniest
stories come when people totally shut us down. Sister Elkins and I
were out tracking and met this old woman. This is how the conversation
went:
Me: "Good Day, Ma'am! Can we help you with that?" (She was doing a
bunch of yard work)
Old Lady: "No that's ok. What can I help you guys with?"
Sister Elkins: "Ma'am, we are missionaries from The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-Day Saints. What we like to do is come around and
talk to people about Jesus Christ-"
Old Lady: "Alright, you have done your duty. You can go now."
Not going to lie, it was a great way to get shut down. That's all for
this week! Miss ya and love ya!

Hello Friends and Family,
This week has been crazy! I have taught so many less actives and I am crazy busy. I started teaching these 2 native American girls and guess what... THEY WANT TO BE BAPTIZED!! Please pray for them because they need all the prayers they can get. I love them. We have started to work with a lot of less actives and I cannot wait to see them all come back. I have been so blessed to have amazing Elders and an amazing companion in my first zone! Thanks for all the emails everyone. I'm soooo sorry if they are short. Its only because I don't have that much time on them. Miss you and Love you all!!
