Scripture Challenge!

I was challenged by Angela Wise, to share one of my favorite scriptures. I honestly cannot just pick one so, I picked two. Due to recent events, I picked marriage (surprise, surprise). Now I've been studying what exactly marriage is. In Genesis 2:24 (The Holy Bible, The King James Version), it says, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." I love this. It shows how the man and woman who are married are considered one. One in purpose and in heart. I am grateful for the Priesthood, which is "the authority to act in God’s name (mormon.org)". One of the many blessings we can experience through the priesthood here on earth is being married and sealed to our family for time and all eternity. In Doctrine and Covenants 132:19 (Doctrine and Covenants), it says "And again, verily I say unto you, if a man marry a wife by my word, which is my law, and by the new and everlasting covenant, and it is sealed unto them by the Holy Spirit of promise, by him who is anointed, unto whom I have appointed this power and the keys of this priesthood; and it shall be said unto them—Ye shall come forth in the first resurrection; and if it be after the first resurrection, in the next resurrection; and shall inherit thrones, kingdoms, principalities, and powers, dominions, all heights and depths—then shall it be written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, that he shall commit no murder whereby to shed innocent blood, and if ye abide in my covenant, and commit no murder whereby to shed innocent blood, it shall be done unto them in all things whatsoever my servant hath put upon them, in time, and through all eternity; and shall be of full force when they are out of the world; and they shall pass by the angels, and the gods, which are set there, to their exaltation and glory in all things, as hath been sealed upon their heads, which glory shall be a fullness and a continuation of the seeds forever and ever." I know this to be true because I have experienced this with my own family. My father and mother were married and sealed in Dallas Texas Temple. Their marriage isn't perfect, but through God, it has been strengthened. I was blessed to experience a love that was strong in supporting each other. I loved that. I know I will be with my family forever because my parents chose to live worthy to enter into the temple, be sealed, and still continue today to live their covenants.

This has influenced me to do the same since I was little. Now that the opportunity is here, I wouldn't have it any other way. I know that when Carson and I are sealed it will be the happiest day of my life because, I will be with my best friend and our future children forever. Death cannot stop this. Even after this life, I will still be with them. What a blessing God has given us! I challenge anyone who wants to experience this joy to prepare themselves to enter the temple
to be sealed to their family. I promise you that if you do, you will experience true happiness not just today or years down the road, but in the eternity to come. I leave these things with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
I challenge anyone who has read this to share your favorite scripture(s). Whatever faith you are, share it. There are hearts that only you can touch.
